Conspirators fail to write me off in politics: Lalu
Tuesday, July 5 2005 16:26 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: Terming the last assembly elections as the "toughest and most dangerous" one he had ever experienced, RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Prasad today (July 5, 2005) alleged that his rivals had hatched "a conspiracy" to get him written off in politics but they failed to succeed.

"The last assembly elections were the toughest and most dangerous I had ever experienced but the RJD survived it by winning 75 of the 243 seats dealing a crushing punch to the conspirators (rivals) who also failed in their sinister conspiracy to get me and my party written off in politics", Prasad told a function organised to mark the eighth foundation day of the RJD.

"All the conspirators are now a depressed and desperate lot", he said while referring to the recent developments in the BJP and Shiv Sena.

"While a fire has broken out in the BJP, the Shiv Sena is on the verge of a split", he commented.

Asserting that no power could get RJD or Laloo Prasad politically finished as long as his party stuck to its principles and continued its struggle for social justice and amity, Prasad called upon his partymen to continue their fight against communal and fascist forces and put the preparation in top gear for the assembly elections.

Spotlight: Bihar Elections

Launching a frontal attack on his rivals, specially NDA (National Democratic Alliance), convenor George Fernandes for allegedly playing into the hands of "communal and fascist" forces, Prasad alleged that all such "so-called" socialist leaders stood exposed today.
