BJP sending leaders to Ayodhya including Advani

New Delhi: Taking a serious view of terror attack at the makeshift temple in Ayodhya, BJP has decided to make an on the spot assessment of the situation by sending senior leaders there.

While Kalyan Singh and Rajnath Singh rushed to Ayodhya yesterday (July 5, 2005), Murli Manohar Joshi will visit Ayodhya tomorrow. VHP President Ashok Singhal will accompany Joshi.

BJP President L K Advani, Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and senior leader Sushma Swaraj also had planned to go to Ayodhya today (July 6, 2005, but postponed it.

The party decided that before Advani and the two other senior leaders go there, they would wait for the report of Rajnath Singh and Kalyan Singh expected by tomorrow evening party sources said.

The situation arising out of terrorist attack was discussed at a BJP meeting chaired by Advani here, soon after his return from Guwahati.
