BJP leaders denied entry to Ayodhya, stage dharna

Faizabad: BJP national general secretary Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh state unit president Kesrinath Tripathi and some other senior party leaders yesterday (July 5, 2005) sat on a dharna at the circuit house here after the district administration refused their permission to proceed to the disputed complex in Ayodhya.

The BJP leaders, who arrived here by yesterday (July 5, 2005) evening, were about to proceed to Ayodhya, as per their schedule, when they were stopped by the district administration.

They immediately sat on a dharna at the circuit house compound to protest the ban on their movement.

The district administration has sealed the borders of Ayodhya and was not allowing anybody to visit the disputed complex which was witness to a terrorist attack yesterday (July 5, 2005) morning in which six militants were shot dead by security forces.
