Patil to visit Ramjanambhoomi temple today

New Delhi: Home Minister Shivaraj Patil will visit today (July 6, 2005) Ramjanambhoomi complex site at Ayodhya and take stock of the security around it in the wake of the terrorist attack yesterday (July 5,2005).

Patil will also discuss with officials the security arrangement around the make-shift temple, which came up after the demolition of the disputed structure on December 6, 1992, a Home Ministry official said.

Political leaders Satyabrat Chaturvedi, Sitaram Yechury, UPCC chief Salman Khurshid will accompany Patil, he said.

Spotlight: The Ayodhya crisis

After reviewing the situation, Patil will hold discussions with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and State Ministers along with senior officials.

Patil will also visit the hospital where one of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, who was injured fighting the terrorists, was admitted.
