Jansakhti group ammunition seized by AP police Friday, July 8 2005 10:34 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Andhra Pradesh police yesterday (July 7, 2005) seized a cache of arms and ammunition, besides incriminating party literature and other materials belonging to Janasakhti group Naxalites.
The raids were carried out by Karimnagar police with the help of local police, following information gathered from the encounter site that took place on the outskirts of Mohinkunta village of Mustabad police station limits in Karimnagar
district on July one.
The police raided first floor of a house in Himayathnagar area, in the heart of the city here while second raid was conducted in Raghavendranagar under the limits of Nacharam police station limits on city outskirts.
The Director General of Police (DGP) Swaranjit Sen, who straightaway drove from the airport on his return from Tirupati along with city police commissioner V Dinesh Reddy, inspected one of the recovery sites at Himayatnagar.
Later, speaking to media men the DGP said, "The police would always remain on high alert to maintain law and order all over the state".
When asked whether the Naxals had any plan to target any people's representatives or others, Sen said, "Anything can be possible".
He further stated that "They keep planning to disturb peace and we have to take pro-active measures to foil their conspiracy."
To a query, the DGP denied any arrests in connection with seizure of arms and ammunitions.
