Indore: A domestic court today (July 8, 2005) filed a defamation suit of US dollars 100 crore against former US President Richard Nixon for describing late Indira Gandhi as "old witch".

The suit, filed by Shobha Dharmadhikari, will come for hearing for admission before the District and Sessions Court here on July 11, her advocate Sulbha Kalele said.

The petitioner has urged the Court to accept the defamation suit so that she can help the flood-ravaged Gujarat with the money.

The petitioner said Nixon's comments in recently declassified documents had deeply hurt her sentiments and of 100 crore Indians. She submitted copies of newspaper clippings in support of her allegation.
