Jaitley undergoes bypass surgery; condition stable

New Delhi: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) General Secretary and noted lawyer Arun Jaitley today (July 11, 2005) successfully underwent a bypass surgery at the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi, hospital sources said.

Heart surgeon Naresh Trehan conducted the bypass surgery and Jaitley's condition was stable, the sources added.

Jaitley was rushed to the hospital on July 4 following high blood pressure.
