Former Kerala CM Vasudevan Nair passes away

New Delhi: Veteran CPI (Communist Party of India) leader and former Kerala Chief Minister P K Vasudevan Nair died of multiple organ failure in New Delhi today (July 12, 2005).

The 79-year-old leader, who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) following an infection in his lungs, passed away at 1535 hrs (IST), CPI leader D Raja told sources in New Delhi.

Vasudevan Nair, popularly known as PKV is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.
