Expelled Shiv Sena leader Rane meets Sharad Pawar

Mumbai: Expelled Shiv Sena leader Narayan Rane last night (July 11, 2005) met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and discussed the current political situation in Maharashtra.

There was no official word from either side as to what exactly transpired during the meeting, party sources said.

Rane, on Sunday, had said he was likely to meet Pawar 'to discuss the current political situation' in the state.
