Mumbai:
Expelled Shiv Sena leader Narayan Rane today (July 12, 2005) said he would resign as the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra assembly later in the day.
"I am going to resign (as Leader of Opposition) today. I would have done it yesterday (July 11, 2005) itself but for the disruptive attitude of the MLAs," Rane told reporters at the Vidhan Bhawan in Mumbai as soon as he arrived on the second day of the monsoon session.
