Assets Case: Dinakaran surrenders before Court

Bangalore: A day after the Special Court issued a Non-Bailable arrest Warrant, T T V Dinkaran, one of the accused in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate asset case filed against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and others, today (July 13, 2005) surrendered before the court.

The Special Court Judge, A S Pachhapure, granted conditional bail to Dinakaran after he executed a bond for Rs one lakh and other sureties.

Dinakaran, one of the accused in the London Hotel case, has now been arrayed as Accused No. five after the special court clubbed both the asset cases.

The Judge, Pachhapure, yesterday (July 12, 2005) issued a Non-Bailable Warrant against Dinakaran, after he failed to appear before the court in compliance of a July two summons.
