British Police have launched more raids in the hunt for the mastermind of last week's London bombings, as the nation reeled in shock over news the attackers appeared to be home-grown suicide bombers.

"A detailed forensic examination is expected to be carried out and may take some time to complete," a statement from London's Metropolitan Police said, adding that there had been no arrests.
The latest raid was "In connection with the ongoing investigation into the terrorist attacks in London" last Thursday (July 14, 2005) in which at least 52 people died when tore apart three subway trains and a bus.
Although police have yet to confirm the blasts were the work of suicide bombers, British newspapers reported that this was the case, also naming the suspected perpetrators as
British National of Pakistani origin.
BBC television, quoting senior security sources, said that police were now searching for a fifth suspect who may have been the men's 'controller' or else the bomb maker.
Home Secretary Charles Clarke, visiting Brussels to confer with European Union counterparts, said yesterday (July 13, 2005) police were now hunting for accomplices of the bombers who, he added, had decided 'to blow themselves up.'
