2 of 5 Ayodhya suicide attackers identified: DGP Friday, July 15 2005 16:29 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The police has identified two of the five militants, who carried out suicide attack on the makeshift Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Giving details about the cracking of the case, Uttar Pradesh Director-General of Police Yashpal Singh said one of them was identified as Younus and the second one as Arshad
alias Asif.
While Younus stayed in Kishangarh locality in South-West Delhi, Arshad was residing in Deoli village in the outskirts of South Delhi.
Yadav said their respective landlords have identified them.
The DGP said that two persons -- Mohammad Naseem Firozuddin and Naseem -- have been arrested from village Khera in Mendhar area of Jammu division.
The duo were instrumental in making a cavity in a Tata Sumo vehicle for carrying of deadly weapons to Ayodhya, he said.
Firozuddin was also in touch with Mohammad Kari, area commander of Lashker-e-Taiba.
He said involvement of six persons had come to light in the case so far.
Among those identified as conspirators in the case were Mehmood, Amin alias Zubair and Kasif, he said adding efforts were on to identify the sixth accused.
Asked whether the remaining three militants killed in the July 5 attack were among those identified so far, the DGP said the process was on.
The DGP said that the miltants were using the mobile of their landlord Ishwar Singh for making all the phone calls.
Mehmood had also joined an English speaking course at a private institute in Munirka in South Delhi and was posing as a pharmaceutical businessman.
He complimented Special Task Force officers for solving a dead and a blind case.
Amin had visited Akbarpur before the attack and made more than a dozen calls to Delhi which have been traced, the DGP said.
