Four killed, 11 injured in car bomb explosion in JK Wednesday, July 20 2005 11:20 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Four persons, including three army personnel, were killed and 11 others injured when Hizbul Mujahideen militants targeted a security forces motorcade by blowing up an explosive-laden vehicle near Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium Park here.
The militants blew up the Maruti car at around 9 a.m. near Ram Munshi Bagh Police Station where bungalows of several state ministers and other senior leaders, including former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, are situated, official sources said.
The injured persons were rushed to SMHS hospital, the sources said.
A person, claiming to be a Hizbul Mujahideen spokesman, called up a local news agency and owned responsibility for the attack, they said.
Meanwhile, senior police and army officials have rushed to the spot, which is near a popular missionary school, Burnhall.
