President Sonia Gandhi has said that she had drawn the Centre's attention to the issue of Karnataka not releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
In a reply to the DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) President M Karunanidhi's letter, she said she had received his letter along with a copy of the special resolution passed at a meeting of the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance in Chennai on July 13.
"I have drawn the attention of the centre on the issue," she said.
The resolution had requested the Prime Minister and the Centre to help the State in getting Cauvery water to enable delta farmers raise their paddy crop.
