Washington: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was given a ceremonial send off, when he left for home, after a three-day state visit to United States (US), during which he clinched the deal with President George W Bush, lifting all restrictions on supply of nuclear fuel and equipment to India.

Before boarding a special Air India aircraft for Geneva, where he will stay overnight prior to arrival in New Delhi on Friday (July 22, 2005) night, Singh was presented a Guard of Honour by contingents of the US Army, Air Force and Navy.

Earlier, he had described the visit as 'great' and expected to receive Bush in India in January.
