Prime Minister speaks to Deshmukh; assures all help

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (July 27, 2005) spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh and enquired about the situation in the State following incessant rains.

The Prime Minister assured him of all possible help by the Centre to deal with the situation, official sources said in New Delhi.

He also told the Chief Minister that if the weather permitted, he would visit the State to have a first hand assessment of the situation in the next few days.
