Kidnapped schoolboy freed in Bihar by police team

Bhagalpur (Bihar): Seven-year-old child Lakshayraj, who was kidnapped from Kahalgaon block of Bhagalpur district on July 20, was found by the police at Parihara village in Begusarai district late last night (July 28, 2005).

The police said today (July 29, 2005) that following a telephone call by the kidnappers demanding ransom money, the Bhagalpur police, with the help of their Begusarai counterparts, raided a house at Parihara village of Begusarai late last night and freed the boy.

One person has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, the police said.

Lakshayraj, a standard 1 student of DAV school, Kahalgaon, was kidnapped by his cousins on July 20, who took him to the market in the name of buying chocolate.
