US President George W Bush was declared 'in excellent health and fit for duty' after undergoing his annual medical check-up and is expected to have no problems for the rest of his term.
Bush underwent the medical examination at the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda near Washington yesterday (July 30, 2005).
"The President remains in excellent health and fit for duty. All data suggest that he will remain so for the duration of his Presidency," a medical report released after the exam
said.
"The President remains in the superior fitness category for men of his age," it said.
The 59-year-old President has a 'low to very low coronary artery disease risk profile,' the report said.
Bush told reporters that he was 'feeling pretty good.'
Bush exercises regularly and workouts include bicycling, treadmill, elliptical trainer, free weight resistance training and stretching.
He is 51.75 inches tall and weighs 199 pounds.
He has not missed work due to illness since his last physical exam.
