One more Godhra train carnage accused arrested

Godhra: An accused in the Godhra train carnage was yesterday (July 30, 2005) arrested from Signal Faliya locality of the town, taking the total number of people nabbed in the case to 109, police said.

Ayub Abdul Gani Pataliya was apprehended from his house by the anti-dacoity squad of Godhra police.

He worked as a driver in Godhra when 59 karsevaks were charred to death in Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002.

With Ayub's arrest, 109 people have been arrested in the case. As many as 26 accused are still absconding, they added.
