Rajasthan cops to escort Pak pilgrims during Urs
Sunday, July 31 2005 13:54 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Ajmer: In a bid to ensure that no Pakistani pilgrim contravenes visa rules, a police party from Rajasthan has been deputed, for the first time, to escort a contingent of 500 pilgrims from that country for Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

The pilgrims will be received and escorted all the way from Atari on the Indo-Pak border, official sources said today (July 31, 2005).

The cops will travel with the pilgrims in a special train, after checking visa documents, they said.

This step has been taken after some pilgrims from Pakistan were found missing on their arrival at Ajmer railway station last year.
