No secret papers leaked in naval break-in: Official
Monday, August 1 2005 18:33 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Claiming that no secret or serious papers had leaked out in a breach in the high-security computer room in the Naval headquarters here, a top official said a Court of Inquiry has been ordered into it.

"The break-in happened ten days ago and preliminary instigations have revealed that some documents relating to procurement are missing," Vice Admiral Sureesh Mehta, Deputy Chief of the Naval staff, told newsmen.

He said following the break-in an inquiry was ordered which would give its report in ten days, he added.

"It is all bunkum", the Defence Minister Pranab Mukerjhee said when asked about the alleged break-in.

Nothing secret has leaked out.

"There had been a leakage and we are investigating the incident", he said.
