NDA leaders to meet Kalam; demand Buta's recall Monday, August 1 2005 17:11 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Agitated over the bureaucratic reshuffle in Bihar, NDA (National Democratic Alliance) leaders would meet President A P J Abdul Kalam in New Delhi later today (Aug 1, 2005) and demand, among other things, immediate recall of State Governor Buta Singh and restoration of the officials to their earlier postings.
Leaders of the Opposition alliance would also meet the Election Commission on Wednesday and urge them to take cognisance of the transfer of senior IPS officers ahead of the upcoming elections to the State Assembly, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) Vice-President Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters here.
The NDA delegation, to be led by Leader of Opposition L K Advani and alliance Convener George Fernandes, would include among others Jaswant Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Sharad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Prabhunath Singh, Sharad Yadav, S S Ahluwalia and Digvijay Singh, BJP Parliamentary Party spokesman V K Malhotra said.
