Possibility of monsoon revival in Bay of Bengal: IMD
Tuesday, August 2 2005 17:17 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Pune: There is a possibility of revival of monsoon with the building of a low-pressure area in the north of Bay of Bengal shortly, Indian Meteorology Department here (Pune) said today (Aug 02, 2005).

"In the next two days, there would be a decreasing trend in rainfall over Maharashtra. However, thereafter there can be another spell of heavy rainfall in parts of the state", IMD Director Dr A B Mazumdar said.

Gujarat, southern part of Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh, which have been receiving good rainfall, would continue to do so for another one or two days, he said.

Rainfall for Orissa and Andhra Pradesh was also predicted for a day or two, he added.
