Seven envoys present credentials to Prez Kalam

New Delhi: Seven envoys, including High Commissioner of Bangladesh, today (Aug 8, 2005) presented their credentials to President A P J Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The envoys, who presented their credentials, were Choeung Buntheng, Ambassadors of Cambodia, Liaqat Ali Choudhury, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Shabbir Hoosen Peerbhai, High Commissioner of Lesotho, Youssouf Omar Doualeh, Ambassador of Djibouti, Larbi Moukhariq, Ambassador of Morocco, Shehloho Francis Moloi, High Commissioner of South Africa and William Ehlers, Ambassador of Uruguay, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman said in New Delhi.

After the presentation of their credentials, the President had an interaction with the Heads of Missions in which he inquired about each nation's core-competencies.

In addition Kalam urged that bilateral trade between India and these nations should increase from its present levels, which would be a win-win proposition.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by the senior members of the missions, senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
