Naroda Patiya riots: SC criticizes Gujarat police

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Aug 8, 2005) severely criticized the Gujarat police for its inability to arrest the main accused in the Naroda Patiya riot case and wanted to know why the investigation has not taken off in the matter.

The court wanted this order to be sent to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Union Home Ministry.
