The Communist Party of India (CPI) Marxist (M) yesterday night (Aug 10, 2005) hailed the resignation of Union Minister for NRI Affairs Jagdish Tytler following his indictment in the Nanavati Commission report on the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots.
It is good news that Jagdish Tytler has resigned, as Union Minister. Our party has been demanding that all those guilty should be punished. Government should act on all the
recommendations made in the Nanavati Commission report, CPI(M) politburo member and West Bengal State Secretary Anil Biswas said in a statement.
