Tytler's resignation an 'eye-wash', says Akali Dal
Thursday, August 11 2005 13:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Akali Dal (Badal) termed as 'eye-wash,' the resignation of Union Minister Jagdish Tytler to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and said he should have given it to the Prime Minister.

"It is an eye-wash. Being a Minister, Tytler should have given his resignation to the Prime Minister. What if the Congress President does not accept his resignation?" Akali Dal National General Secretary, Onkar Singh Thapar, said.

He said an impartial inquiry against Tytler can be conducted only if he is not a Minister.

"We will not be satisfied by his resignation. We want an enquiry conducted against him and if found guilty, he should be punished," Thapar said.
