Tarun Gogoi should apologize to Advani: Mahajan Sunday, August 14 2005 17:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Guwahati:
With the Justice J N Sarma (rpt J N Sarma) Commission clearing the administration of involvement in 'secret killings' in Assam, BJP (Bharatiya Janata party) leader Promod Mahajan today (Aug 14, 2005) demanded an 'unconditional apology' from Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to BJP President L K Advani for 'making charges' that Advani was 'hand-in-glove' with the AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) regime in such acts.
"Gogoi should tender unconditional apology to Advani for charging him to be involved in secret killing during the previous AGP regime", Mahajan told reporters here (Guwahati).
"This is a serious allegation and now that Justice J N Sarma has cleared politicians during his probe into secret killing, Gogoi should have no hesitation in tendering the apology", Mahajan said referring to the Sarma commission interim report findings submitted to the Chief Minister on August 12.
"Gogoi is indulging in irresponsible and false allegations against his political opponents and the commission report tells the story", he asserted.
