Musharraf & Aziz greet Indian leaders on I-Day

Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz today (Aug 14, 2005) greeted Indian leaders on the occasion of Independence Day.

"On the anniversary of India's independence, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you and the people of India our felicitations and warm greetings," Musharraf said in a message to President A P J Abdul Kalam.

"Please accept, excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration," he said in the message.

In a message to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Aziz said, "As the Government and people of India celebrate the anniversary of their independence, I wish to convey on behalf of the Government, and the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf our warm greetings and felicitations."
