Pak has to dismantle terror infrastructure: India
Monday, August 15 2005 11:50 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Asserting that Government's response will be "hard" if violence continued in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Aug 15, 2005) made it clear that "half-hearted" efforts by Pakistan to check terrorist activities will not suffice and it has to "totally dismantle" the terror infrastructure.

At the same time, he expressed Government's readiness to talk to "everyone" to resolve the problems confronting Jammu and Kashmir.

In his second Independence Day address to the nation, he said, "There is no issue that cannot be resolved through a process of discussion and dialogue. Our doors are always open and will continue to be open for anyone interested in dialogue.

"I invite everyone to join us to discuss the problems of the state of Jammu and Kashmir so that its people can lead a life of peace and dignity," he stressed.
