K'taka: PM cancels aerial survey due to bad weather

Belgaum: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Aug 16, 2005) cancelled his aerial survey of flood-affected areas of parts of north Karnataka due to bad weather, official sources said.

The Prime Minister also cancelled his visit to a rehabilitation centre of flood-hit people at Chikkud in Belgaum district, the sources said.

Singh would, however, arrive here in the afternoon and hold a review meeting with the State officials, the sources added.
