Sonia condemns killing of party MLA in Andhra
Tuesday, August 16 2005 10:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi yesterday night (Aug 15, 2005) condemned the assassination of party MLA C Narsi Reddy and his son Venkateswar in a Naxal attack in Andhra Pradesh saying such incidents are a "blot" to the society.

"Those who show such insensitivity, they are the wellwishers of none. We will have to create an atmosphere to counter such violence in the society," Gandhi said in a condolence message sent to Reddy's wife.

She said at this moment the only option was to remain courageous.
