Govinda's son discharged; daughter, wife stable

Mumbai: Yashvardhan, the 10-year-old son of Bollywood actor and MP Govinda, who was admitted to Leelavati Hospital after suffering injuries in an accident in Rajasthan, was discharged today (August17,2005), according to hospital sources.

The condition of Govinda's wife Sunita who had suffered head injuries, and daughter Namrata, having facial bone fracture, is stable, the sources said adding, Sunita has been shifted from ICU to normal ward while Namrata is still in ICU. Yashvardhan, who had minor bruises, was discharged this morning after doctors certified that he is fit, sources said.

Sunita is stable but she will be under nursing care till she is healed, while the swelling on Namrata's face would take some time to subside and therefore, will be shifted to normal ward in a few days time, the sources said.

The trio were injured in a road mishap on Jaipur-Ajmer road on August 15 and after initial treatment at the SMS Hospital in Jaipur, they were admitted to Leelavati Hospital in suburban Bandra the same night.
