Advani to decide on Khurana issue: Rajnath Singh
Sunday, August 21 2005 16:45 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: The decision on whether or not to revoke suspension from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of former Rajasthan Governor Madan Lal Khurana will be taken by the party President L K Advani, according to the party General Secretary Rajnath Singh.

"On all these matters, the decision is taken only by the party President", Singh told reporters here today (August 21, 2005) when asked if the order would be revoked like it did against Uma Bharti some months ago.

Khurana, the former Delhi Chief Minister, was put under suspension yesterday (August 20, 2005) for 'gross indiscipline.'

On why 'action is being taken against those who raise their voice against the leadership', the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, "Internal democracy is still intact in BJP even today."

Compared to other national political parties, BJP is 'more disciplined' than them, he claimed.

According to him, while national parties like the Congress and Communist party have witnessed 'vertical split many times', such a thing has never happened once in BJP's political life.
