Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to launch a rural IT project aimed at providing online citizen services through RAJIV (Rajiv Internet Village) Centre at Medak in Andhra Pradesh.
The Prime Minister will participate in the silver jubilee function of a `Praja Shakti', a Telugu daily which has organised a seminar on "Press and and the Nation" and unveil the statue of former President N Sanjeeva Reddy today, official sources said.
Later, Singh will also distribute land pattas to poor in Medak before leaving for Delhi, the sources added.
Singh, who arrived here on a day's visit to the state, was received at the Begumpet airport by Governor Sushilkumar Shinde, Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhar Reddy, his cabinet colleagues, Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy and scores of Congress workers.
