Meerut: Top police officials yesterday (August 21, 2005) interrogated Major Amit Aggarwal in connection with mysterious photographs found in a studio in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

IG (Meerut) Vipin Kumar Sharma and DIG Raj Kumar Vishavkarma among others quizzed the Major, police sources said.

The photographs were of some Village Defence Committee (VDC) members from Jammu and Kashmir and had inadvertently reached the studio, according to the Army.

VDCs comprise local people who fight militancy along with Army and other security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
