Ten dead, several injured in building collapse

Mumbai: Ten persons were dead and over 30 others injured when an over 100-year-old residential building near J J Hospital in south Mumbai collapsed.

Ten bodies were recovered from under the debris and more than 30 persons were pulled out since the rescue operations began after the four storeyed 'Sadaf 'building on Temkar road collapsed late yesterday (Aug 22, 2005) night, police sources said today (Aug 23, 2005).

The injured were taken to the J J Hospital, the sources added.
