Lanka's new Foreign Minister to visit India tomorrow

Colombo: Sri Lanka's new Foreign Minister Anura Bandaranaike will undertake his first mission abroad with a visit to India tomorrow (Aug 25, 2005) to hold talks with its leadership.

Bandaranaike is visiting on the invitation of Indian Government and would call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders, officials said today (Aug 24, 2005).

Bandaranaike, 56, was named the foreign minister after assassination of Lakshman Kadirgamar by suspected Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) rebels.
