Look around you, you will find more fast food joints than your eyes can accumulate at one go. Now you may be eating from them more than you can burn out. The results, you may be putting on weight, which can make you obese. However, trying to lose weight has also become a clichéd activity with the mushrooming 'weight lose centers.'
We must understand the basics of Body Mass Index and its relation to our weight. The chart below explains that.

Body mass index or BMI, is a new term to most people. However, it is the measurement of choice for many physicians and researchers studying obesity. BMI uses a mathematical formula that takes into account, both a person's height and weight. BMI equals a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. (BMI=kg/m2).

The best way to lose weight is through burning out calories that is not needed. Regular exercise is the best way to keep you fit and active. However, our genes have a great role in making us fat. So, if we know our history, we must take care of our daily diet than a normal person does. Overweight, obesity could however, be dangerous in many cases.
