FDI seeking Marxist CM finds support from party
Wednesday, August 31 2005 14:14 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacherjee, basking in the glory of his new found media projection as a votary of reforms among Marxists, has found support from the top leadership of the party in his initiatives to secure Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

The Communist Party of India (CPI) Marxist (M) Politburo will meet in Delhi later this week when Bhattacherjee will brief the party's top leadership on the outcome of his tour of Indonesia and Singapore for seeking FDI for the state.

Bhattacherjee, a CPI(M) Politburo member, has not only to carry the party along with him but also to resolve differences and confusion among party hardliner nature of purchase, MSP or otherwise (commercial) and the Government would continue provide subsidy for MSP operation.
