Security forces bust Hizbul Mujahideen hideout Saturday, September 3 2005 15:52 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Security forces shot dead a Hizbul Mujahideen cadre and busted a militant hideout stacked with arms and ammunitions in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today (Sept 3, 2005).
The Hizbul militant, identified as Aijaz Ahmed Bhat, was killed last evening (Sept 2, 2005) by the Border Security Force (BSF) troops during an operation in the Arnas-Gool area of Udhampur district, the sources said.
An AK rifle and some ammunition were found on Bhat, a close associate of Hizbul Mujahideen Divisional Commander, Mohammad Sharief, they said.
In another operation, security forces busted a militant hideout in Sadra Gala area of Rajouri district and found 28 hand grenades, a flame thrower, 187 rounds of SLR, 93 rounds of pika gun and 62 rounds of AK ammunition from there.
Meanwhile, some unidentified militants set afire the house of Kala Khan, a Public Health Engineering Department employee in Chandiyal-Sangyot area of Harni sub-sector in Poonch district last night (Sept 2, 2005), sources added.
