Patil, Narayanan to assist PM in Hurriyat talks

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will be among the three persons who would be assisting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the talks with Hurriyat Conference this evening (Sept 5, 2005).

Spotlight: Kashmir is NOT negotiable

Besides Patil, Centre's Pointsman on Kashmir N N Vohra and National Security Advisor M K Narayanan would also be part of the Prime Minister's team when it meets the five member Hurriyat delegation, led by its Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, official sources said here.

The Prime Minister received a thorough briefing from Vohra last evening (Sept 4, 2005) about the talks held earlier last year during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regime.
