RSS asks Muslims to dispel worry about the Sangh Monday, September 5 2005 13:06 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) yesterday (Sept 4, 2005) asked Muslims to come closer to it to allay their apprehensions regarding the organisation.
"RSS believes in working for the cause of the nation above the narrow confines of caste, creed, region, language and religion. There are many misconceptions about us which
could be removed only by coming to us and understanding us," RSS spokesman Ram Madhav told a delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha leaders who met him at the Sangh headquarters in New Delhi.
Describing BJP as a 'like-minded nationalist organisation', he said RSS is not against any particular community and wants to unite all nationalist forces.
Morcha President Tanvir Hyder Usmani led the 50-member delegation.
