Wednesday, September 7 2005 12:05 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Fearing security problems in naxal-affected areas during Bihar Assembly polls, the Election Commission has convened a meeting of Chief Secretaries and DGPs of Bihar and Jharkhand on September 9 to review law and order situation.

The Election Commission will discuss the security issues in naxal-affected areas in Bihar with the senior officials from the two states, Commission sources said.

The naxals pose a 'serious' problem in the state and their activities on the Nepal border have also increased.

Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner B B Tandon will visit Bihar tomorrow to review poll preparations in Gaya and Muzaffarpur.
