Khurana meets Atal amidst indications of a Patch-up
Friday, September 9 2005 12:55 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mandan Lal Khurana today (Sept 9, 2005) met former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee amidst indications that a patch-up formula was being worked out for resolving the latest crisis in the party.

After an hour-long meeting with Vajpayee, who yesterday (Sept 8, 2005) opposed his expulsion, Khurana appeared to have softened a bit today when he said he was ready to work in the party as a 'pujari' as he had always been.

He also sought Vajpayee's intervention for a meeting between him and Advani to sort out differences.

After his departure from Vajpayee's residence, Party Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and senior leader Jaswant Singh arrived to meet Vajpayee.
