New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Sept 10, 2005) briefed President A P J Abdul Kalam on his visit to France beginning tomorrow (Sept 11, 2005) and later to New York to attend the U N Millennium Development Summit.

During the half-an-hour meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Singh also briefed the President about his scheduled meetings with the world leaders on the sidelines of the Summit, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman said.

The Prime Minister also apprised Kalam on his talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the European Union delegation on India-EU Summit in New Delhi earlier this week.

The spokesman said the meeting was part of regular interaction between the two leaders.
