46th ISAM conference begins tomorrow in Bangalore

Bangalore: Over 200 delegates from India and abroad are expected to participate in the 46th annual conference organised by the Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ISAM) from September 14 to 16.

The conference would provide a platform for interaction among aviation medicine specialities, doctors from allied specialties and scientists leading to exchange of information ideas and expertise, Air Marshal Padma Bandopadhyay General Medicine Services (Air) and President of the Society said.

Eminent cardiologist, Dr Devi Shety would deliver the keynote address on 'Converting Atoms into Bytes', she said.

Major and minor aeromedical issues, including operational and applied aerospace medicine, research and development in aerospace medicine and civil aviation would be discussed.

The scientific papers presented in the conference would be followed by interactive sessions.

A continuing medical education programme on the latest developments in the field of medicine and surgery would be held on September 16, where participating delegates would be provided a chance to update their efficacy at the peripheral level in medical care delivery.
