Kochi: An activist of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been arrested in connection with the burning of the Tamil Nadu state owned bus last week.

Sherif, arrested yesterday (Sept 19, 2005), was the Aluva Mandalam Secretary of the PDP.

Police sources said Sheriff had confessed that he and a few others were involved in the incident to protest against the denial of bail to PDP leader, Abdul Nasser Madani, an accused in the Coimbatore blast case.
