Bihar polls: Shivanand, Shyam Rajak file nominations

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National spokesman Shivanand Tiwari and a minister in the erstwhile Rabri Devi Government Shyam Rajak were among the three candidates who filed their papers on the first day of nominations today (Sept 23, 2005).

While Tiwari filed his nomination from Shahpur in Buxar district, Rajak entered the fray from Phulwari Sharif in Patna district.

Siddheshwar Vidyarthi, an independent, filed his papers for Aurangabad seat.

Earlier, Governor Buta Singh issued notification for the first phase of poll in 61 constituencies scheduled for October 18.
